Endodontics

(root canal treatment under a microscope)

At Parodent, we provide treatment for teeth affected by decay, including advanced cases that require endodontic therapy. We are equipped with an endodontic microscope and advanced imaging tools for assessing root canal fillings (cephalometry, digital radiovisiography). We treat patients with irreversible pulp inflammation, thoroughly clean the tooth chambers, and fill them with specialized materials.

When is endodontic treatment necessary?

We refer patients for microscopic endodontic treatment when there is significant damage to a tooth. Most often, the destruction of dental tissues is caused by untreated caries that has reached the pulp chamber and root canals, leading to pulp inflammation. Root canal treatment may also be required after trauma that results in a cracked tooth and allows bacteria to enter its interior.

If you experience sharp or dull tooth pain that worsens when touched, tooth discoloration, or prolonged sensitivity to cold or heat, it is advisable to consult an endodontist. After examining the patient and evaluating an X-ray image, the dentist may determine that root canal treatment is necessary.

The goal of endodontic treatment is to save the tooth from extraction. The first step is removing the diseased tissue, followed by disinfection and filling of the pulp chamber and root canals with liquid gutta-percha. The endodontist performs the procedure using specialized root canal instruments.

The duration of root canal treatment depends on the complexity of the procedure. Key factors include the number of canals in the tooth and the stage of the infection.

Some patients worry that root canal treatment is painful. In our dental office, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia and with the use of an endodontic microscope, which provides significant magnification of the treatment area. This allows the dentist to precisely remove diseased tissue from inside the tooth chamber.

Modern endodontic treatment

We offer radiological diagnostics and microscopic root canal treatment, as well as dental surgery procedures and reconstruction of teeth damaged by pulp inflammation. Treatments are performed under local anesthesia and, depending on the case, may be completed in one or several visits. Patients suffering from severe pain, inflammation, or swelling can rely on professional care and support in our dental cliniс.
